No one ever believes me when I tell them I'm a real live Florida native. Yep, some of us aren't snowbirds!
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to cook! My family is Cuban and Sicilian, so Latin and Italian foods are some of my favorites, but I love to try new recipes and dishes as often as I can... Got a recipe you think I should try? Send it to me!
Some of my other interests are baseball (Go Rays!), wine, eating (hey, it goes with the cooking!), music, travel, and Boston, my cat. I also LOVE zombie shows--The Walking Dead on AMC is one of my favorites, and I'm also into Breaking Bad, HGTV, The Food Network, and The Travel Channel.
I was watching TV last night and saw this commercial for the first time. When I saw it, my first thought was "That was odd," and apparently all of America feels equally weirded out by it. It's a commercial for Joe Boxer at KMart. Some people are so upset that they're demanding KMart pull the ad. I'm certainly not offended--in fact, I laughed out loud--but it was just a little...strange. Behold.
Jason Aldean is the new face (butt?) of Wrangler Denim. Check out this new commercial!
What would you do if this were your kid? Do you agree with this Pasco mom?
I didn't want to talk about this because I didn't want to believe it's real. It's astonishing to me that anyone would find this entertaining. The "game" is called Knockout, and the idea is to pick a random stranger to punch in the face or head, and try to knock them out in a single punch. How anyone could think this is ok is absolutely baffling to me. I just can't wrap my head around it. The video below is a news story from WTAE in New Jersey.
So many teenagers think they're invincinble..what happens when they pick a target that is a trained fighter? A military member, an off-duty police officer, an MMA fighter, or what if the target they choose is armed? This "game" could easily result in someone's death. I'm so angry about this I can't even process it.
The music video for the Zac Brown Band's Sweet Annie is actually the wedding video for ZBB member Coy Bowles' real life wedding! I love the look on Coy's face when he sees his bride for the first time! *squeee!*
